Our team monitors each order from when it is dispatched until it reaches the customer. Our sole purpose is to bring joy to customers with each order we deliver.

Shipping Process & Procedure

In the shipping process, each product is dispatched from the seller to our warehouse facility. Upon arrival, the products go through examination before being sent to our customers. We use third-party courier services for the timely delivery of these shipments on our behalf.

Shipping Options

At the time of checkout, customers can choose their preferred delivery options. The estimated delivery date is mentioned in the product description, which significantly influences the shipment's transit time.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated at the checkout page and may vary based on the weight and size of the product, as well as the selected shipping option. Additional items added to the cart will result in changes to the shipping charges. Customers can optimize shipping costs by increasing their order size rather than placing single-item orders.

Important Considerations for Shipping

Customers are advised to familiarise themselves with the following important points:

Packing Constraints:

As per the International Aviation Regulations, products with flammable liquids, compressed gases, liquid gases, oxidising agents, and flammable solids are subject to specific packing constraints according to the volume. Orders that have such products may be delivered in multiple packages.

Shipments Held at Customs:

  1. For each product purchase made through Shop From India, the recipient in the destination country shall be referred to as the "Importer of Record" and is required to adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the importation of the purchased goods.
  2. The Courier company manages the customs clearance process. If the customs detain a shipment due to improper documentation, the following conditions apply:
  • If the "Importer of Record" fails to offer the necessary documents, it results in confiscation of products by customs, and Shop From India will not issue a refund. We highly recommend that customers be prepared in advance and submit any required documents as requested by customs authorities.
  • In the case of a shipment being returned to our warehouse due to missing documentation, a refund will be issued only after deducting return shipping charges from the product purchase price. Please note that the shipping and customs charges will not be included in the refund.

Returned Shipments: Undeliverable or Refused:

  1. Once customs approval is obtained, the courier company will go ahead and contact the customer to arrange delivery. If the customer does not respond, refuses delivery or declines to pay the duties and taxes, in that case the shipment will be returned to the country of origin.
  2. The customer may file a refund claim in such cases. If the shipment qualifies for a refund under Shop From India's Return Policy, Shipping, Customs, and other charges (like Taxes and gateway fees) will not be included in the refund. In case of any applicable restocking fees, customs VAT will also be deducted from the total price of the goods affected in the shipment.
  3. In the case where shipment is not returned or if the products are non-returnable, the customer will not be eligible for a refund.

Prohibited and Import-Restricted Items in the Destination Country:

  1. Shop From India is committed to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. However, not all products listed on our website may be available for purchase in the customer's destination country. We make no guarantees regarding the availability of any product in the customer's respective country.
  2. All products purchased through Shop From India are subject to all export and trade regulations of any competent jurisdiction. Given the vast array of products available, it may not be feasible to filter out those that cannot be shipped due to specific customs regulations.
  3. The customer who purchases products through Shop From India, as well as the recipient in the destination country, is solely responsible for ensuring that the products can be lawfully imported. Shop From India and its affiliates make no representations regarding the legality of importing any products purchased on our website. If a product is restricted or prohibited and not approved by customs authorities in the destination country, the customer will not be eligible for a refund.

The estimated delivery window provided by Shop From India reflects standard delivery times. However, certain orders may experience longer transit times due to:

  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Flight delays
  • National holidays or festivals
  • Customs clearance procedures
  • Natural disasters
  • Widespread health crises
  • Other unforeseen circumstances

Shipment Tracking

All shipments can be tracked using the Order ID number on our tracking page, accessible at the bottom of our website. Users can easily track their shipments by selecting "my orders."
